Freddie Joachim is a California based producer who is riding out his own ‘waves’ and creating timeless music.
You may have heard a production by Freddie if you are a big fan of J. Cole or Joey Bada$$. “On and On” by Joey Bada$$ and “False Prophets” by J. Cole are both the same production taken from “Waves” by Freddie Joachim.
Freddie is an avid fan and collector of all things jazz, hip hop and soul. He was first a dj which segued into self production and recording. Now he has a long list of licensed music he made for brands like K-Swiss, Nike, Adidas, Monster Energy, DC Shoes, etc. He has a full range of releases from albums, to EPs and collaborative productions. He’s worked with great artists like Aloe Blacc and Blu in his full length album and co-runs the beat collective and brand Mellow Orange.
If you have checked out my “obbligatos” instrumental playlist (a page in this blog) you must have heard his productions because almost half of that list is his music.
Freddie Joachim is the epitome of a “wavy” music producer. In an interview online, it was mentioned his music is categorized as: “the perfect music to get high to”. If any of you are on that wave of psychedelic music, Freddie Joachim produces electronic type soul, jazz and hip hop beats that are “out of this world”.
